Man, 60, Struck by Car on Camino Del Sur
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 25, 2024) — James Michael Osmus, 60, of San Diego, died in a bicycle accident on Camino Del Sur on Friday in San Diego.
The traffic accident occurred around 6:49 p.m. on Nov. 22nd, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner press release.
The victim was riding his bicycle westbound along Camino Del Sur. At the same time, a driver in a Volkswagen sedan was traveling in the same direction and struck him due to unknown circumstances in the 15700 block of Camino Del Sur.
The driver stopped and called 911 for help and also provided life-saving measures on the scene until help arrived.
Paramedics arrived and located the man unresponsive and his death was pronounced at the scene.
The San Diego Police Department is heading up the investigation into the crash and liability.
