James Pendergast Killed in Sonoma Pedestrian Accident on Highway 12

James Edwin Pendergast, 85, Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Highway 12 and Verano Avenue Monday

Sonoma, CA (March 24, 2021) – 85-year-old James Edwin Pendergast died in a pedestrian accident that occurred Monday in the area of Highway 12 and Verano Avenue.

The Sonoma Index-Tribune reported James Edwin Pendergast was walking outside of a crosswalk along Highway 12. When the pedestrian stepped into the intersection at Verano Avenue, a vehicle traveling on the highway struck the man.

Per news article published online, the catastrophic incident took place at approximately 8 a.m.

Responding medical personnel rendered aid to the pedestrian with injuries. Sadly, James Pendergast succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
