2 Elderlies Killed in Crash at Highways 108 and 120 Yosemite Junction
JAMESTOWN, Tuolumne County (July 18, 2018) – On July 15, Sunday, two people were killed and several others were injured after two vehicles collided in the area of Highway 108 and Highway 120.
According to the Union Democrat, a 91-year-old Sonora man was driving a 1993 Toyota Camry at an unknown speed on eastbound Highway 108. When the elderly motorist approached the Highway 120 Yosemite Junction, he was struck by a 2017 Ford Fiesta traveling westbound on Highway 120 and prepared to make a left turn onto Highway 108.
As per the article, the elderly driver sustained major injuries in the crash and was transported by air ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities added an 86-year-old female passenger was found in the Camry. The elderly woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the names of the fatalities and their relationship remained unknown.
Julieta Pisani-McCarthy and Brian McCarthy Injured in Jamestown Car Accident
Meanwhile, officials identified the Ford driver as Julieta Pisani-McCarthy, of Berkley. At the time of the collision, Julieta was was accompanied by 49-year-old Brian McCarthy in the front passenger seat, and two children, ages 8 and 6, in the back seat.
Medical records indicated Julieta was transported by air ambulance to Modesto Memorial Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be major injuries.

Furthermore, Brian and the juveniles sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Adventist Health Sonora. The names of the injured children have not been disclosed thus far.
Investigators said the accident took place shortly after 6 p.m. Neither alcohol nor drugs are considered a factor in the collision.
The detectives handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the accident.
