Jamie Pech, 19, Dies After Street Race Ends in Car Accident Near Capitol Thursday
San Jose, CA (June 11, 2021) – On June 10, Thursday, 19-year-old Jamie Pech suffered fatal injuries following a car crash on Snell Avenue.
The CBS San Francisco reported Jamie Pech was driving a 1998 Honda traveling on the streets of San Jose. Our sources indicated Jamie Pech appeared to have been racing another car on Snell Avenue.
When the vehicles approached an S-curve near Capitol, both driver lost control and crashed.
Emergency teams arrived at the site shortly after 11 p.m. First responders found the Honda wrapped around a tree.
Deadly Car Crash in San Jose, June 10
Initial reports indicated Jamie Pech sustained serious trauma. Despite life-saving measures, the 19-year-old driver succumbed to his injuries and died.
Authorities mentioned the other vehicle, a 2001 Lexus GS30, sustained significant damage from the impact. Officials confirmed the driver of the Lexus appeared unharmed after the wreck.
Further investigation on the catastrophic incident is underway.
