Bicycle Rider Killed in Jamul Crash on Lyons Valley Road Near Kae Crest
JAMUL, CA (June 2, 2021) – A bicycle rider was killed after an accident on Lyons Valley Road in the area of Jamul.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune and FOX 5 News, the tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the crash at around 7:25 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol a vehicle struck the bicyclist for an unknown reason in Jamul. The driver hit the bicycle rider on Lyons Valley Road between Kae Crest and Monterey Crest Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the crash site, a few hundred yards east of Skyline Truck Trail. They then found the cyclist lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist involved stopped after hitting the bicyclist. Officials forced a portion of Lyons Valley Road to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the fatal Jamul bicycle accident is still under investigation.
