Janda Khamnoy Aguanga Crash at Highway 371
AGUANGA, Calif. (October 14, 2020) – Janda Khamnoy, 34, of Souix City, Iowa, died in a crash on Highway 371 (Cahuilla Road) at Boulder Vista Drive in Aguanga.
Two other people were injured in the 1:03 p.m. car crash on Sunday, October 11th in Aguanga, California, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Khamnoy was driving a 2000 Honda Accord eastbound on Cahuilla Road (Highway 371) when the vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a westbound pickup truck.
A 45-year-old Indio man driving a 2010 GMC Sierra pickup and was one of two people who were seriously hurt in the crash.
Khamnoy suffered major injuries and died at the scene. The others who were injured were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, however, it’s unknown at this time what the extent of those injuries are.
Both of the vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene, however, it’s unknown how extensive damage was due to impact.
The cause of the fatal car crash remains under investigation by authorities. Witnesses are asked to contact police to help them determine fault.
