Jane Stroud, 71, Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Crash at Santa Clara and 11th Streets
SAN JOSE, CA (April 28, 2023) – Jane Stroud was killed after a pedestrian crash at Santa Clara and 11th streets in San Jose.
The coroner’s office identified the 71-year-old San Jose woman as the victim in the fatal accident which took place earlier this month.
The incident happened when Jane Rose Stroud was crossing East Santa Clara Street at the intersection with North 11th Street in San Jose.

At the same time, a 2017 Toyota Camry was making a turn onto Santa Clara from 11th Street. Police said for an unknown reason, the car then struck the victim.
The Mercury News and CBS San Francisco wrote that the collision occurred on April 9 at about 12:20 p.m. Jane Stroud sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident.
Paramedics rushed the patient to a hospital, where she soon died. Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the Toyota stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.
The cause of the San Jose pedestrian crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the Crime Stoppers at 408-947-7867.
