Deadly Traffic Collision Near 405 Freeway
Mission Hills, CA (April 2, 2022) – Janet Corona, a 20-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of 118 Freeway and 405 Freeway.
On April 1, Friday, two vehicles collided on the transition from the westbound 118 Freeway to the southbound 405 Freeway. According to an article published online by the Daily News, Corona lost control of her 2003 Toyota and crossed the median. The Toyota ended up veering into the path of an oncoming 2014 Lexus.
Our sources indicated the driver of the Lexus attempted to avoid collision. However, the cars still hit each other on the transition road in the Mission Hills highway. The catastrophic incident took place around 7:15 a.m.
Janet Corona Dies in Mission Hills Car Accident on 118 Freeway
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. An ambulance reportedly rushed Janet Corona to the hospital. Sadly, the Sylmar woman later succumbed to her injuries and died.
Authorities added the driver of the Lexus, a 23-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck.
Detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident on 118 Freeway in Mission Hills.
