Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicles Near Interstate 680
San Jose, CA (May 21, 2022) – Janet Rodriguez, a 33-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on North Capitol Avenue in San Jose.
The Mercury News published an article online reporting an SUV that exited Interstate 680 and merged onto North Capitol Avenue. While converging into traffic, authorities said the SUV struck a pedestrian. Officials added a second car driving behind the SUV also hit the pedestrian.
The catastrophic incident took place on April 30.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on North Capitol Avenue in San Jose
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim lying in the roadway. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the female party but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Janet Rodriguez.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the two drivers involved in the unfortunate event. Further investigation on the deadly accident is ongoing.
