Deadly Crash on Highway 38
MENTONE, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2023) — Jared Michael Dyer, 34, of Mentone, died in a pedestrian accident in Mentone on State Route Highway 38.
The collision occurred around 8:32 a.m. on Friday, September 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police responded to State Route 38, roughly a half mile east of Garnet Street in Mentone, police said.
The pedestrian, identified as Jared Michael Dyer, suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
Investigators with the California Highway Patrol will determine fault for the case.
