Jasmine Thomas, 28, Hospitalized After Car Crash on Antelope Valley Freeway Monday
Palmdale, CA (April 6, 2021) – Jasmine Thomas, and several other people suffered injuries following a solo-car accident on Interstate 14, also known as Antelope Valley Freeway.
The traffic collision took place on April 5, Monday.
According to the Antelope Valley Times, 56-year-old Gary Foster was driving a 2008 Kia Spectra traveling north on I-14. Officials said the man lost control of the vehicle and veered left into the center median of the freeway.
The force from the impact caused the Kia to careen across all northbound lanes. Per news article published online, the vehicle came to a rest after hitting a dirt embankment.
First responders found the Kia flipped on its roof.
Boy, 9, Killed in Palmdale Car Accident [April 5]
Shortly after 10:50 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and found a boy ejected from the car. The 9-year-old boy sadly died in the collision.
Authorities added the driver and three other passengers suffered injuries as a result of the incident. The California Highway Patrol group identified one of the victims as 28-year-old Jasmine Thomas. Our sources indicated the female passenger sustained moderate injuries, and was eventually transferred to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
The other two passengers injured in the wreck were briefly identified as a 1-year-old boy, and a 1-month-old girl.
Responding police closed several northbound lanes of 14 Freeway to give way to the investigation process. The precise cause of the catastrophic incident in Palmdale remained unknown.
