SAN BERNARDINO, California (April 30, 2016) – Jason Jackson, 33, of Barstow was killed Friday night after being hit by a pickup truck on southbound 15 Freeway, according to the SB Sun.
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. near East Main Street in Barstow.
Preliminary report stated that a man attempted to cross the freeway on foot. Then, he was suddenly struck by an oncoming Ford pickup truck.
The force from the impact was significant, leaving the pedestrian lying on the roadway suffering in fatal injuries. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved did not sustain any wounds, as mentioned in the article.
Investigators assigned to handle the case continue to gather more evidences before announcing closure and citations.
