Pedestrian Found Dead on Freeway
SUN VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 2, 2018) – Police believe a person they found dead on the side of the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway in the Sun Valley area, was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
Jason Ramirez, 33, was later identified as the victim who was killed.
Police responded to the Lankershim Boulevard area near the freeway about 6:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Nos. 2, 3, and 4 lanes were closed while an investigation was conducted. At this time, we do not know what led to the person’s death and there was no identify released at this time. Police have not provided a description of the vehicle, but they are piecing together evidence in an effort to determine the make and model of the vehicle.
