Trinity County, CA (July 20, 2021) – Police arrested 33-year-old Jason Ryan in relation with a hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of Lee Fong Park on July 16.

The Action News Now reported Jason Ryan, of Weaverwille, was driving a vehicle in the streets o f Trinity County. For an unknown reason, the motorist an individual at Lee Fong Park. At this time, the exact location where the crash took place remained undisclosed.

When emergency teams arrived at the crash site, they found a pedestrian with injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim. Pending confirmation, the name of the injured party and the extent of their trauma have not been revealed thus far.

Our sources indicated Jason Ryan fled the scene before police arrived. Responding officer later located the hit-and-run suspect at a nearby residence. Authorities then arrested the man for assault with a deadly weapon; battery with serious bodily injury; and felony hit-and-run.

Further investigation on the case is underway.
