Jaswinder Kaur and Harsimran Rai Injured in Crash on Live Oak Boulevard and Highway 99
LIVE OAK (June 15, 2018) – Four were injured, two seriously, after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Live Oak Boulevard and Highway 99 on Thursday night, according to Appeal Democrat.
The accident involving three vehicles occurred at Lomo Crossing.
California Highway Patrol said 29-year-old Fermin Rios was going north on Live Oak Boulevard approaching Highway 99 when he allegedly failed to stop for another vehicle.

The Live Oak man the collided with the rear of the second car which was preparing to make a right turn onto the highway prior to impact. The second vehicle was then forced into a third car, which was headed south at the time.
CHP affirmed that two occupants of the southbound vehicle, 46-year-old Jaswinder Kaur and 10-year-old Harsimran Rai, were taken to UC Davis with minor injuries. Another passenger in the same car, 3-year-old Manraj Rai, was unharmed. All are from Live Oak.
The two people riding the second car were seriously injured and were also hospitalized.
Meanwhile, Rios was booked into Sutter County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after being treated for minor wounds. The investigation is ongoing.
