3 Dublin High School Students Die in Christmas Day Crash
PLEASANTON, Calif. (Dec. 27, 2019) — Javier Ramirez, Marc Urista and Michael Urista died in a collision on Foothill Road near Pleasanton’s Castelwood County Club on Christmas Day.
The Dublin High School students were among five traveling in a car that crashed about 10 p.m. on Dec. 25th. Two others who were passenegers in the vehicle were ejected and suffered major injuries.
The involved vehicle crashed into a power pole and wraped around a tree on its side, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver was among the three who died in the crash, but the CHP report does not specify who was behind the wheel. All three who died were found inside the car and the two surviving passengers were ejected.
Paramedics responded and rushed the two injured teenagers to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the collision, but early indications are that drugs and alcohol are not a factor.
