One Dead, 3 Injured in Hesperia Head-on Crash
HESPERIA, Calif. (August 17, 2021) – Javon Williams, 29, of Apple Valley, died Monday in a head-on crash at Hesperia Road and Mojave Street in Hesperia.
The deadly crash happened about 2:24 a.m. on August 16th, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
Several people were hurt in the collision between a silver 2019 Nissan Versa and a gray 2005 Honda Civic, according to an article published by the Victor Valley News.
However, the passenger, Javon Williams, was pronounced dead on scene, police said.
The two cars crashed in the the 10200 block of Hesperia Road near Mojave Street.
Firefighters extricated a total of four people including Javon Williams who were trapped in the wreckage.
Three suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Helicopters airlifted the injured to various out-of-area trauma centers for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Hesperia Road near Mojave to shut down for hours following the crash.
The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation. Witnesses may contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
