Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Wilfred Avenue
Rohnert Park, CA (November 30, 2022) – Jay Holloway, a 39-year-old Santa Rosa resident, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Stony Point Road.
According to the Press Democrat, a Ford Ranger struck a man in the western outskirts of Rohnert Park early Monday. Earlier reports indicated a male party stepped into the traffic lanes and walked across Stony Point. While in the middle of the road, the driver of a Ford Ranger did not notice and hit the man.
Our sources confirmed the collision resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian. Shortly after 5:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site and attended to the victim. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased as Jay Holloway.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver of the pickup pulled over after the collision and stayed until police arrived. Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Stony Point Road in Rohnert Park.
