Man, 55, Identified as Victim of Collision on State Route 60
AZUSA, Calif. (June 4, 2024) – Jay Park, 55, died in a three-vehicle Azusa crash involving a semi-truck on Monday on the Foothill (60) Freeway near Azusa Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol sent police officers to the scene of the crash in the westbound lanes of the freeway.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred at 10:28 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene and the victim was pronounced deceased, the report said. He was later identified as Jay Park by the Los Angeles county sheriff coroner.
Authorities issued a SigAlert and closed down four westbound lanes of the freeway for several hours to conduct their investigation.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on the Azusa freeway.
