Jay Yang, 34, Killed in Pomona Crash on 60 Freeway Near Phillips Ranch
POMONA, CA (April 29, 2023) – A crash killed Jay Yang on the 60 Freeway near Phillips Ranch Road in Pomona.
The coroner’s office identified the 34-year-old Arcadia man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Friday.
Deputies confirmed that Jay Yang was involved in an accident which happened for an unknown reason in the Phillips Ranch area of Pomona.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said four vehicles crashed on the westbound 60 Freeway near Phillips Ranch Road. My News LA wrote that the collision occurred on April 28 at about 10 a.m.
Initial reports described the vehicles in the incident as a white Saturn, a gray Nissan sedan, a Ford van and a motorcycle. Jay Yang soon died at the scene of the crash.
Officers did not mention if any other party sustained any injuries as a result of the collision. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of 60 Freeway to shut down for two hours following the wreck.
The cause of the Phillips Ranch crash is still under investigation.
