Jeanine Owen, 66, Killed in Citrus Heights FoodMaxx Parking Lot on Sunrise Boulevard

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — Jeanine Ethelwyn Owen, 66, died in a FoodMaxx parking lot on Sunrise Boulevard after she was run over by a vehicle in Citrus Heights.
A driver traveling at low speed ran over the victim on Monday, May 26, in the 6900 block of Sunrise Boulevard, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The male driver was in the FoodMaxx parking lot at the time of the accident, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department.
The motorist stopped and cooperated with law enforcement. There were no signs of drugs, alcohol, or distracted driving.
The investigation into the tragic accident is ongoing.
