Victim ID’s in Westwood Hit-and-Run on Sunset Boulevard
LOS ANGELES (December 16, 2018) – Jeffrey Cook, 39, has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed Saturday night following an alleged hit-and-run crash on Sunset Boulevard, according to KTLA news.
The collision took place about 10:15 p.m. on December 15, just east of Beverly Glen Boulevard.
Cook, who police believe was a transient, was struck as he crossed the road mid-block by an eastbound vehicle in the 10200 block of Sunset Boulevard.
Arriving firefighters at the scene found the victim lying in the roadway following the collision where he died of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the involved driver failed to stop and help the man as required under California law. Police are hoping to locate the suspect and hold him or her accountable.
