Jennifer Campbell, 36, Killed in Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident in Homeland

HOMELAND, California (May 1, 2015) –Jennifer Campbell, 36, of Hemet was killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in front of 25730 Sultanas Road, according to a report by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner and news reports.

About 10:21 p.m., a driver in a black Ford Mustang struck two pedestrians, critically injuring one of them who was hospitalized at Menifee Valley Medical Center where she died before 11 p.m. The other pedestrian stayed at the scene of the crash and was interviewed by police. It is unknown whether they were also hurt.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver to committed this crime.

“My condolences go out to the family of this young woman as they cope with this tragedy,” said Attorney James Johnson.
