Mother Dead, Children Injured in Collision at Minnewawa and International
Fresno County, CA (May 30, 2023) – Jennifer Ellis, a 45-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Minnewawa and International Avenue.
According to ABC30 News, Ellis was driving with her two children traveling just north of Clovis Monday afternoon, May 29. Earlier reports indicated a the horrible crash happened when the Honda and Mercedes drove through at the same time at the intersection of Minnewawa and International.
Preliminary investigation revealed the person behind the wheel of the Mercedes was traveling at a high rate of speed and went through a stop sign. The Merced then hit the Honda occupied by the family of Ellis.
Fatal Car Accident in Fresno County
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to all parties involved in the collision. After the evaluation, medical personnel sadly pronounced the driver of the Honda dead. Authorities later identified the deceased as Jennifer Ellis.
Meanwhile, the two children of the victim, an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old, both suffered injuries in the crash. Emergency crews transported the juveniles to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Officials mentioned they arrested the driver of the Mercedes for felony vehicular manslaughter.
At this time, detectives handling the case continue to gather information to determine several unclear factors surrounding the fatal crash that happened at Minnewawa and International Avenue in Fresno County.
