Pedestrian Hit by Car in Pomona at Towne and Foothill
POMONA, Calif. (July 19, 2018) – Jennifer Williams, 45, was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday night at the intersection of Towne Avenue, just north of Foothill Boulevard.
The fatal crash was reported about 9:40 p.m. The Pomona Police Department and paramedics responded to help the victim who was found in traffic lanes. The driver stopped and cooperated with the police investigation.
Despite efforts by arriving Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, the victim died at the scene. The person’s name has not been released.
Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, it’s unknown what led to this collision and who is responsible for this person’s death. There are many unanswered questions such as whether or not drugs and or alcohol were factors, if the intersection was well lit or if speed was a factor.
