Man, 22, Killed in Crash Involving Wrong-Way Driver
CORONA, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2023) — Jeremy Breen, 22, of Placentia, died in a collision with an alleged wrong-way driver in a Tesla Model 3 early Monday morning on the Riverside 91 Freeway in Corona.
The alleged wrong way driver, who has not been identified, also died in the collision, according to the San Bernardino Sun.
The two-vehicle collision happened just after midnight on Oct. 2nd on the 91 Freeway in Corona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the Tesla was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes before it crashed into the second driver in a Mitsubishi Lancer near Lincoln Avenue. Jeremy Breen was the driver of the Mitsubishi and it’s lone occupant.
Both vehicles became fully became engulfed in flames upon impact. Firefighters pulled Jeremy Breen from his vehicle, but he died roughly 25 minutes later.
Rescuers were unable to get the driver of the Tesla out of his vehicle. He also died at the scene and was alone in his vehicle.
Investigators closed down a portion of the 91 Freeway to investigate the Corona crash on the 91 Freeway.
