Jeremy Rosales Killed in Highway 32 Motorcycle Accident in Hamilton City
Former Marine Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 32
CHICO, Calif. (March 6, 2025) – Jeremy Rosales, 43, of Forest Ranch, died Sunday night in a motorcycle accident on Highway 32, near Sacramento Avenue in the Hamilton City area.
The motorcyclist was a former Marine and one of the founders of StandAlone MMA, according to Jason Pietz, the owner of StandAlone MMA who spoke to Action News Now.
According to the California Highway Patrol report the motorcyclist collided with a westbound 2022 Tesla on Highway 32 after the car turned left into the path of the eastbound 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle. It happened around 6:35 p.m. on March 2, 2025.
The Tesla entered the left turn lane to make a turn towards southbound Sacramento Avenue and failed to yield the right-of-way to the motorcyclist.
The 40-year-old Hamilton City man’s Tesla collided with the motorcycle and told authorities he did not see the bike approaching.
Sadly, the motorcyclist was thrown off the bike and suffered fatal injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Tesla cooperated with the investigation into the tragedy. Authorities do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The collision occurred in an area where the speed limit is 55 mph and there is no lighting or traffic signals. An especially dangerous situation for motorcycle riders who are at greater risk of injury.
“This is one of the most common causes of motorcycle fatalities,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Drivers either fail to see approaching motorcyclists or they are in a hurry and fail to yield the right-of-way. My thoughts and prayers extend to the family of the man who died.”
