Jeremy Strong Arrested in Siskiyou Wrong-Way Car Crash on Interstate 5

Jeremy Strong, 34, Suspect in DUI Collision on Interstate 5 Thursday

Siskiyou, CA (April 2, 2021) – Police arrested 34-year-old Jeremy Strong in relation with a DUI car crash on Interstate 5, the Siskiyou Daily News reported.

On April 1, Thursday, Jeremy Strong was driving a Honda Odyssey on I-5. When the man passed by a CHP officer helping a motorist with a flat tire along the freeway, Jeremy Strong reportedly threw a glass object at them.

Then, the officer got into his patrol vehicle and pursued Jeremy Strong. Our sources indicated the suspect exited at the Ditch Creek offramp and eventually traveled the wrong way on the freeway. Jeremy Strong drove south in the northbound side of I-5.

The suspect continued to travel in the wrong direction. In the area just south of Highway 96, Jeremy Strong crashed head-on into an innocent motorist. Our sources confirmed the occupants in the victim vehicle suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation, the names of the injured parties remained undisclosed.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned Strong sustained minor injuries in the crash. After medical personnel treated him, police arrested the man and booked him into Siskiyou County Jail on six charges: DUI causing injury; evading police and being a wrong way driver; hit and run causing death or injury; battery; battery on a police officer or emergency personnel; and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Further investigation on the case is underway.
