Jerry Ellington, 79, Killed in Barstow Accident on Armory Road
BARSTOW, CA (November 20, 2021) – Jerry Ellington was killed after a pedestrian crash on Armory Road in Barstow.
The coroner’s office identified the 79-year-old Barstow man as victim of the fatal accident which took place on Wednesday evening.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Jerry Lee Ellington for an unknown reason in the city of Barstow. The automobile hit him in front of 957 Armory Road.
Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle
The accident occurred on November 17 at about 6:08 p.m. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim lying on the ground.
Officers confirmed that Jerry Ellington sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian crash. Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, deputies forced a stretch of Armory Road to shut down for a time following the collision. The news release did not mention any information on the driver of the vehicle.
The cause of the Barstow pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
