Jerry William Lyon Sr., 70, Killed in Hesperia Crash at 7th Street and 3rd Avenue
HESPERIA, CA (April 22, 2021) – A car crash killed Jerry Lyon Sr. at 7th Street and 3rd Avenue in Hesperia on Wednesday.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the 70-year-old Hesperia man as the victim of the fatal wreck on April 21.
The sheriff’s department said Jerry William Lyon Sr. was driving one of the three vehicles which collided for an unknown reason in Hesperia. They crashed at the intersection of 7th Street and 3rd Avenue.
Multi-Car Collision in Hesperia Wednesday
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found Jerry Lyon Sr. who ended up injured as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the elderly man to Desert Valley Hospital, where he died. Officers reported the accident at about 4:01 p.m.
Deputies did not mention if any other party sustained injuries from the impact. Meanwhile, officials forced the intersection to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The fatal Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
