Grass Valley, CA (August 15, 2021) – Police arrested 48-year-old Jerry Douglas Mayfield in relation with a DUI car crash at the intersection of Auburn and Kiwi Road.

The Union reported Jerry Mayfield was driving a 2012 Mazda 3 heading home from the Nevada County Fair. Due to the alleged intoxication of the motorist, he allowed the car to veer off the roadway.

According to the article published online, the Mazda overturned at the intersection of Auburn and Kiwi Road.

Our sources indicated the Mazda contained continued two passenger boys at the time of the collision. Bot the 6-year-old, and 8-year-old were wearing seatbelts when the crash happened. Responding paramedics reportedly transported the injured juveniles to Sierra Memorial hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police reportedly arrested Jerry Mayfield after the incident. Officers booked the man for a DUI and child endangerment.
