Motorcyclist Jerry Romero, 29, Killed in Hesperia Hit-and-Run Accident
HESPERIA (September 13, 2018) – A motorcyclist killed after a hit-and-run crash at Main Street and Cottonwood Avenue Wednesday has been identified as Jerry Romero, according to sheriff’s department.
The 29-year-old Apple Valley man was a victim of a tragic collision which was reported at 7:48 p.m. on September 12.
As per San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Victor Valley News, officials said Romero was riding a black and silver Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection.
Prior to impact, the driver involved reportedly pulling out from a parking lot in the south-west corner directly in front of the motorcycle.

The bike was knocked down in the No.1 westbound lane while Romero was found several feet away. San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist who hit Romero did not stop to render aid and fled after the wreck. The suspect car was described as possible white SUV type vehicle with apparent damage to its front and, or to its left side.
