Jesse Uria Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Stetson Avenue, Lake Street

HEMET, CA (Oct. 26, 2026) — Jesse Uria, 21, of Hemet, died in a motorcycle versus SUV crash on Saturday at East Stetson Avenue and Lake Street in the Valle Vista area near Hemet.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24th in this unincorporated area of Riverside County intersection in, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation. The California Highway Patrol reported there were two people riding on the motorcycle at the time of the crash. The young man was riding the bike with his girlfriend, but it’s unknown if she was also injured at this time.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family of this young man as they cope with the tragic loss of Jesse Uria,” said Attorney James Johnson.
Meanwhile, there is a GoFundMe page to support Uria’s family with funeral arrangements.
Authorities closed down East Stetson Avenue between Soboba Street and Fairview Avenue to conduct their investigation.
Motorcycle rider deaths in Riverside County are among the highest in the state of California, Johnson said. Every year there are roughly 30 deaths in the county, and it has ranked consistently among the top five most dangerous counties. Collisions involving another motorist are often linked to the most serious injuries and deaths for motorcyclists. One of the top causes of deadly crashes is another vehicle making a left-hand turn into the path of the rider, but speed also plays a role in these types of crashes. A full investigation into the cause of any motorcycle accident will determine fault.
