Passenger Killed in Car Accident Near Hunt Court Sunday
Glen Canyon, CA (January 12, 2021) – A 28-year-old woman, from San Jose, died following a suspected DUI collision on El Rancho Drive Sunday evening.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel reported 30-year-old Jesse Vong was behind the wheel of a 2013 Volkswagon Golf heading south on El Rancho Drive. At about 9:45 p.m., Vong apparently lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway.
Because the Volkswagen was traveling at a high rate of speed, the car continued driving after hitting a wooden utility pole. The Volkswagen plowed up an embankment, hit a tree, then overturned.
First responders found a female passenger unconscious. Per local news source, paramedics performed life-saving measures to the woman but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
