4 People Hurt in Red Bluff Car Accident on Highway 99
RED BLUFF, Calif. (April 16, 2019) — Two adults and two teenagers were injured in a head-on crash Saturday night on Highway 99W, just south of the Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
Pablo Rivera-Orellana, 51, of Red Bluff, was reportedly driving southbound on the highway when his Toyota Corolla veered across the center line and crashed head-on into a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck. Jessica Bachman, 40, was driving with a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy she was driving home from their high school prom.
Paramedics responded to the scene where they found Rivera-Orellana suffering from major head trauma and internal injuries. He was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Bachman and the teenage boy both suffered minor abrasions and the teenage girl hurt her knee, back, neck and head.
Police arrested Rivera-Orellana for DUI and driving without a license.
