Passenger Dies in Collision Near Chalk Bluff Road
Nevada County, CA (June 14, 2022) – Jessica Johnson, a 36-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Highway 20.
On June 20, a collision between a 2002 Acura TL and a livestock trailer occurred on the highway western Nevada County. The Union News published an article online reporting the driver of the Acurafailed to negotiate a curve in the area near Chalk Bluff Road. Given that, the eastbound car veered into the westbound lanes of the highway; and crashed head-on into 2022 Ford F-350 with a livestock trailer attached.
The catastrophic incident took place at about 6:30 p.m.
Fatal Car Accident on Highway 20 in Nevada County
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the female passenger in the Acura unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Authorities identified the deceased as Jessica Johnson of Sacramento.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal collision on Highway 20 in Nevada County.
