LAKE FOREST, California (May 6, 2016) — The Orange County Sheriff Coroner has identified 26-year-old Jessica Lujan of Anaheim as the woman who was killed early Thursday morning in a DUI crash on Lake Forest Drive.
The young woman was a passenger in a 1964 Dodge Dart driven by a 27-year-old man who police believe was driving under the influence of alcohol. He is also believed to be a repeat drunk driver and could face multiple charges including homicide.
The crash took place about 3:35 a.m. yesterday morning when the driver crashed into a tree. The man and woman were both trapped in the vehicle and firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free them before they were both rushed to Mission Hospital. Lujan died of her injuries at the hospital.
