
Young Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash ID’d
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 13, 2023) — Jessica Xitlalli Garcia, 22, died in a crash last month on Old Highway 395 at Canonita Drive in San Diego.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 6:34 a.m. on March 28th, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner.
The 22-year-old Oceanside woman was riding as a passenger in a Toyota sedan. The car was heading southbound on Old Highway 395 when for unknown reasons it collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck at Canonita Drive.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured woman to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. Sadly, she died less than an hour later at 7:25 p.m. at the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up an investigation into the collision to determine fault.
