1 Dead, 1 Hurt in Rollover Crash Gene Autry Trail
PALM SPRINGS, Calif.- – Jesus Escalera, 22, died in a solo-vehicle crash Thursday night that left his passenger injured on Gene Autry Trail, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The rollover collision was reported about 7:26 p.m. last night. The vehicle was heading southbound on Gene Autry Trail when it veered across the median and crashed into a tree on the northbound sidewalk. A passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries following the crash where Escalera died at the scene.
Police are investigating whether or not drugs and or alcohol were factors in the collision.

Police are reviewing all the evidence as they try to figure out what led to this collision.
