Jesus Guerrero Hurt in Sacramento Bicycle Accident on Elder Creek Road
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle at Elder Creek and Excelsior Roads
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2024) — Jesus Guerrero was injured Monday morning in a bicycle accident in Sacramento at Elder Creek Road and Excelsior Road in Sacramento.
A driver struck the bicyclist in the westbound lanes at around 9:14 a.m. on Oct. 7th, just south of Mather, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the crash, but the roadway has no bicycle lanes and a rough gravel shoulder.
CHP officials reported the cyclist suffered a small laceration to his head and other injuries. He was transported to UC Davis Medical Center by a Metro Fire 62 ambulance.
The report stated the injuries were minor and Jesus Guerrero is expected to fully recover.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the bicycle accident on Elder Creek Road.
