Fresno Man, 29, Killed in Crash is Identified
FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2023) — Jesus Moreno, 29, of Fresno, died in a motorcycle accident Monday night at Chestnut Avenue and Weldon Avenue in east central Fresno.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:30 pm Monday at the Fresno intersection, according to ABC 30 News.
A driver in a silver Toyota SUV was traveling southbound on North Chestnut Avenue when they began to turn left towards East Weldon Avenue. The SUV reportedly turned in front of an oncoming northbound motorcyclist who was also driving on Chestnut Avenue. The motorcyclist had the right-of-way and there are no traffic lights or stop signs at the intersection.
The two vehicles collided and the motorcycle rider later identified as Jesus Moreno died at the scene, Your Central Valley news reports.
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger from the SUV were not injured.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal Fresno motorcycle accident.
