Jesus Olivares, 35, Killed in Crash on Vineyard Avenue Saturday
El Rio, CA (February 6, 2021) – A motorcycle rider died following a traffic collision on Vineyard Avenue Saturday, the Ventura County Star reported.
According to the news article published online, 35-year-old Jesus Olivares was riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson heading north on Vineyard Avenue.
The horrible crash took place near the area of Montgomery Avenue and Carnegie Place. Our sources indicated a 2012 Toyota Camry made a U-turn across both northbound lanes in an attempt to reach the southbound side. In the process, Olivares hit the driver-side door of the Camry.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident in El Rio, February 6
Shortly after 7:10 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and found the motorcyclist down in the middle of the road. Paramedics rushed Olivares to a Ventura County Medical Center but he later sadly died.
Meanwhile, responding firefighters had to extricate the driver of the Camry. After successfully pulling out the trapped motorist, they transported the patient to VCMC for treatment of major injuries.
Further investigation on the deadly motorcycle accident is ongoing.
