Suspected Street-Racing Ends in Deadly Collision
Pomona, CA (April 29, 2023) – Jocelyn Herrera, a 28-year-old woman, died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Holt and Clark Avenue.
According to KTLA5 and My News LA, two vehicles appeared to have been racing against one another in the streets of Pomona. When the cars approached the intersection of Holt and Clark, they ended up colliding into each other. The make and model of the automobiles found at the scene have not been revealed thus far.
The catastrophic incident took place Wednesday night, April 26.
Deadly Car Accident in Pomona
Shortly after 11:49 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found a man and a woman both suffering in serious injuries. Despite life-saving efforts performed by medical personnel, the female passenger sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. The Pomona Police Department identified the deceased as Jocelyn Herrera. Meanwhile, the male driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
Several factors surrounding the horrible crash remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened at Holt and Clark Avenue.
