Palms Springs Car Accident Downs Power Lines at Arenas and Belardo, October 26
PALM SPRINGS (October 26, 2017) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Arenas and Belardo roads on Thursday afternoon, according to the Desert Sun.
As per the article, the accident happened around 4 p.m. when a vehicle passing in the area crashed into a parked blue car for an unknown reason. The impact caused a power pole to snap almost in half, and power lines to fall into the nearby trees.
The owner of the parked vehicle, Joe Vasquez, was unharmed in the crash. He was reportedly working in a nearby business at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, authorities said they are still looking into the condition of all the parties affected in the incident. It was not immediately clear if there were injuries reported, and how many vehicles were actually involved.
Police officers were still on scene as of 5:30 p.m. and the area was still closed for the investigation. Tow-trucks were called in to remove damaged vehicles.
