Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Electric Bike Near Claremont Drive
Plumas County, CA (August 17, 2022) – Joey Marrero, a 29-year-old man, suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Highway 70.
The Sierra Daily News reported Marrero, from Quincy, was walking on the shoulder of the highway near Claremont Drive. For reasons still unclear, motorist riding an electric bike struck the pedestrian.
According to the article published online, the force from the impact ejected the rider and threw the pedestrian onto the ground. Our sources indicated both parties contacted the authorities and requested for help.

Officials said Joey Marrero sustained unspecified injuries after the incident. Additional details on the condition of the victim have not been discussed thus far.
