John Angulo, 30, Charged With Hit-and-Run in Anaheim Fatal Crash
ANAHEIM, CA (September 1, 2021) – Authorities charged John Angulo with hit-and-run after a fatal crash in Anaheim.
Police accused the 30-year-old Orange man of killing another driver in the wreck which occurred on Sunday night.
The incident began when John Edward Angulo ran a red light at the intersection of Knott and Orange avenues in Anaheim. Officers said he then slammed into another vehicle.
The other motorist, named as 37-year-old Buena Park resident Lawrence Harris, died as a result of the collision. The Orange County Register wrote that the accident took place on August 29.

Meanwhile, Anaheim police affirmed that John Angulo abandoned his car and fled on foot. They found him sleeping in another vehicle near the scene of the wreck.
Authorities soon arrested John Angulo for gross vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run with permanent and serious injury.
Records showed that he has a sentencing enhancement for allegedly fleeing the scene of a vehicular manslaughter. Officers held him in lieu of a $150,000.
The Anaheim hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
