Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Crash in La Verne
LA VERNE, Calif. (Jan. 20, 2025) – John Baertich, 57, of La Verne, died Saturday in a motorcycle accident on Wheeler Avenue at Sherwood Drive in La Verne.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18th in the 6700 block of Wheeler Avenue, according to the La Verne Police Department.
The La Verne man suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner report.
Meanwhile, the driver in the other vehicle, who is also from La Verne, stopped and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Authorities closed down Wheeler Avenue between Sherwood and Kent drives for the collision investigation, Harden said.
