NORWALK, Calif. (May 13, 2020) – John Godoy, 62, of Santa Ana, was identified as the motorcycle rider killed early Wednesday morning in a crash on the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Norwalk.
The collision, which also injured several other people, involved two other vehicles and one of them overturned on the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 5:05 a.m., just north of Alondra Boulevard, police said. The wrecked vehicles were blocking the carpool lane where the motorcyclist reportedly struck a vehicle at high speed. Police closed down the HOV and Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the northbound San Gabriel Freeway.
