John Grizzell Jr., 28, Killed in Palm Springs Hit-and-Run on East Palm Canyon Drive
PALM SPRINGS, CA (June 25, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed John Grizzell Jr. on East Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.
The coroner’s office identified the 28-year-old Palm Springs man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Friday.
Palm Springs police said a vehicle struck John Grizzell Jr. for an unknown reason. The driver hit him on East Palm Canyon Drive between Broadmoor Street and Golf Club Drive.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the pedestrian left lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They soon pronounced him dead at the scene.

KESQ News and My News LA wrote that the accident took place shortly after 4 a.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area.
They described the car as a 2005 or 2006 Nissan Altima, possibly silver in color. The hit-and-run vehicle obtained fresh damage to its hood, windshield and passenger side after hitting John Grizzell Jr.
The Palm Springs crash is still under investigation, Officers forced a portion of East Palm Canyon Drive to close for about six hours following the collision.
