Two Men Killed in Lakewood Crash
LAKEWOOD, Calif. (June 7, 2021) — John Guzzardo, 49, of Park Ridge, Illinois, was one of two people killed in a 3-vehicle crash Friday on South Street in Lakewood.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner released the names of both men who died in the multi-vehicle crash. The second man was Aaron Morgan, 48, of Lakewood. Also, three others suffered injuries in the collision and taken to hospitals.
The Lakewood crash happened about 10 p.m. on Friday, June 4th in the 6100 block of South Street, near Gondar Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Two sedans and one red classic Volkswagen Beetle were involved in the collision. The two sedans were each occupied by two women and there were three passengers in the Beetle. Both Aaron Morgan and John Guzzardo died at the scene.
Meanwhile, one of the occupants suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. Two other victims were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries, according to ABC7 news.
Investigators are looking into what led up to the crash, but there was no further information at this time.
